The SECNAV paints a damning picture. If true, and I'm pretty sure he's not fibbing, the CO should have gotten canned.

My money says he is covering his own butt, that has already been chewed out by senior people. Never been in the military but that doesn't keep me from recognizing there are rules that are based on decades if not centuries of battlefield experience. Absolutely, check out what they did to the Captain of the Indianapolis

Captain has now been relieved of his command. This was not his first request for help, so there will be several more ranking officers that will be following him, including some from the upper level that let the Covid problem get so bad on the ship. Image there is much more to the story. ^^^There is usually always "much more to the story". That's why I tend to always give those in authority the benefit of the doubt. Of course, if I "knew it all" like some folks seem to, then I could make a more informed decision. I don't direct that at anyone in particular, but instead it just seems the norm for a few on this forum.
