Most every bottle I have is from suggestions from forum members. I’d say that’s a compliment to our fellow members.

Me too. I haven’t made it to the store yet. Had to make an essential trip to the hunting property to check on property, equipment and perform wildlife management. Will try to stop by the store on the way home.

It's a compliment only if you invite us over to drink it with you! clap

I think they use a touch of rye in Hayden’s.
It’s smooth. It can be bought for about $40 / 750 ml.

I drank it for a while but there’s other bourbons as good for less money, imo.

Be careful what ya ask for! up

Never had the Basil Hayden’s.

BIL was gracious enough to let me try the Eagle Rare. Dang good!

I hear greatness about the John J Bowman. It’s supposed to rival Blantons. Next week I may try it

Also Heaven’s Hill? is another good one?

Basil Hayden’s is good. A little on the light side so it is easy to drink neat. I tend to like bourbon a little stouter.

That is at Specs here is San Antonio.

Our specs had it when they first opened but I haven’t saw it since. The Knob Creek 120 that’s to the right of Booker’s but not pictured is my go to when they don’t have Booker’s, which is usually.

I have been looking for a reason to open this one. Maybe next week.

IMHO there is better bourbon and it doesn’t cost that much, here are a few to get you started:
Willett bourbon, Jefferson Reserve, Four Roses small batch, Old Forester prohibition style, these are but a few that I’ve tried and enjoyed. Maybe you can do the same... Cheers

So picked up a bottle this evening. Good stuff.up

Couldn’t resist getting a couple bottles of each of the mini bourbons they had on the rack. Will give me an opportunity to try a few things out. grin
