Anyone use their uppers? Curious on quality for such a cheap upper.

Did they make 10-22 mags at one time?
Sounds familiar

quality is questionable at best. mostly their barrels are the problem. the rest of their parts seem fine. i had a side charging bear creek upper that was reliable in the little use i gave it. ive seen alot of reviews for their barrels that are 5-6" accuracy or worse at 100 yards with decent ammo. their uppers are usually cheap enough that if you find a great deal on a complete upper, you can always swap barrels if you needed to.

They get a lot of mixed reviews. Some say great accuracy some horrible. Maybe it just depends on what they use that day to build them. Trying to throw something cheap together but I’d rather get moa for a little more money.

I see so many threads on Bear creek barrels. Topic is usually poor accuracy, with the occasional comment from a guy who own BCA barrel ok to good accuracy. Of course those guys are super proud of their $100 barrel that shoots well.
Based on what I’ve read I’d have to agree with Tff that buying a BCA barrel/upper is a gamble.
I don’t know what you’re looking at (Grendel I assume), but I would only buy one if I would be complete ok with it being junk, and pleasantly surprised if it tuned out ok. If junk toss the barrel and replace with what you should’ve bought in the first place..plenty of inexpensive barrel options out there that are more likely to provide good results. ARP, Ballistic advantage, or Wilson Combat barrel. All those are sub $300 barrels. Xcaliber often runs sales for $300 or less, craddock precision will cut a barrel from a criterion blank for $350. Lots of options for mid to high end barrels that will shoot.
Or buy a PSA for an inexpensive complete upper.

I have a 6.5 Grendel rifle and a 5.56 pistol from BCA. Both were priced great and haven't had any issues with either one. The pistol barrel had a small scratch in the finish that was visible through the hand-guard. The 6.5 shoots Hornady Black 123 gr. under moa. Handloads are about the same. I plan to buy another, at some point.
