I have a hunt planned for April 19th. I'm not worried about the destination, it is si secluded I would feel very safe there.
1. My two buddies, I know them VERY well, but where have they been, who have they been around? 2. 8 hour drive with them, stopping at gas stations along the way 3. Will gas stations be open?
What are you guys thinking about your hunts in the near future? Hopefully by October this chit will calm down

My next hunt is in October in Canada that I surely hope everything is a go because it’s been 2 years in the making.
This time next year I’ll be on a plane to Argentina to hunt red stag....my fear is the hunters that should be hunting now arnt, so how is they gonna effect the chain
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

I've got a prairie dog shoot in New Mexico the first week of May. Right now it's still on, but I work at a hospital so my vacation may very well get canceled.
Silver spurs and gold tequila keep me hanging on. Pretty girls and old cantinas give me shelter from the storm.

You gotta go with what feels right to you. I'd guess/hope the gas stations pay at the pump will be open. I guess ya'll could camp and hunt separately, kidding, sort of. In any case, if you good, good hunting to ya!

I would go but stay away from crowds assuming the situation remains as we know it today. Pay at the pump and no restaurants. Has been reported that many places will have re-opened by then...lets hope that is correct.

We just applied for Wyoming antelope today, screw em I'm going hunting this fall if we draw. Spent a week in Fresno, Ca. Got back last night. They have 2 confirmed cases in Fresno county and have asked the whole city to shelter in place. Stupid people. Plane ride home was wonderful less than half full, no one at DFW was a nice travel day.

I have an Axis Hunt scheduled for July and will be traveling by myself, not worried right now who knows what’s next. Hopefully everything is settled down by then.

They say heat and humidity severely weaken it. We have plenty of both in Texas.

You can say you haven't been feeling very well and would prefer going in separate vehicles, for their safety of course. Maybe cough a few times while you say it. Hopefully some of this is virus will be on the way down by then.
An 8 hour drive by yourself is not that bad, specially if you have a buddy that talks all the time.

Gas will be available. Nobody is hoarding gas in tanks on their property. That is why it's even cheaper right now- nobody is using it nobody is traveling.
Toilet paper getting bought quicker than truckers can bring it to the store. I am very familiar with this because i drive on dollar tree account. Got people waiting outside watching me unload my truck, wating for cleaning wipes hand sanitizer and tp like buzzards lol.
I am not scared of the coronavirus. I think it is more hype than anything else. Happens just about every election year. Media laying it on thick cause they hate Trump.
You will be o.k. I have enjoyed my time on the water this weekend with the kids. Fish biting good yesterday and today in lake ray hubbard by the way. Sandbass and channels on worms, channels hybrids and stripers on fresh cut carp. Even though it was 40 degrees this evening.
Dont let the media hype ruin your trip. It's a real virus and a nasty one but it's not hollywood, if you know what i mean.

Just stating facts...as of now there are almost 27,000 confirmed cases and there have been 341 that have died from COVID 19, so this isn't "hype" to those families. As long as people blow it off as media hype, it will continue to grow exponentially. Let's see where the numbers are a week from now. Not saying to live like hermits and not going to argue about this...just stating facts.
No prayer in school....What's next, no thinking in church? It's not just about pie in the sky when you die. It's also about steak on your plate while you wait!

I won't be stopping in a small town on my travels. If you do, just be smart, get gas and get out. Use a wipe. Piss on the side of the road if you like. No big deal.

Easter weekend I plan on taking my boy to OK for a Turkey hunt. It would take an act of God to change those plans.

Can't spread crap staying in your own home. Clean your guns and do other stuff till this blows over. Then we can all enjoy our upcoming hunts.

Yes, those that are going out and doing social things are not helping any of us, but that's not my point. Turkey hunting is not a social activity. We're not going to be around other people. It's just going to be the two of us 1200 acres, A couple hundred head of cattle, and some pigs and turkeys. I think we'll be safe from the coronavirus.

Getting outdoors and away from people is a great way to spend the time. You can still talk to people. Just keep your distance. If you have to stop for gas or go in a store, don’t touch your face. Wash really good or use hand sanitizer before you touch your vehicle to get back inside.
To be determined
