I now have in my possession the first run of .277", 145 grain, expanding subsonic bullets designed for the various 270 rounds as a subsonic! They are flat base, lead core, copper jacketed, and large hollow point for expanding as a subsonic round. I load a lot of 270 Win subs, and this bullet will be a good addition to the options of 270 Win subs! More to report after a range trip! I will have some 6.5 mm expanding bullets soon also. They are being produced now. I'm really excited about that one. No one offers an expanding 6.5mm subsonic round currently!

Those are long bullets! What twist will stabilize them?

The are optimized for the 1:10" twist. Since they are flat base, and a fairly rounded off hollow point, the overall length is pretty short.

Yes, they will come apart the minute they leave the barrel. The lead inside is a much softer lead. And the copper jacket is cut and scored to allow for easy expansion. It will spin the bullet apart.

Because I sell a ton of 270 Win subsonic rounds. And no one has an expanding subsonic 270 bullet.

I think that many hunters got a suppressor and they want to shoot and play with the subs in their 270 Win rifles. If you would have told me 270 Win subs would have been popular, I would have told you, you were crazy.
