The thing I miss the most is the way people treat others. Back when I was younger people helped others. Not only financially but with kindness. This is a completely different world we are in now. It is hard to adjust to especially after seeing how good it used to be. But I guess it changes with each generation. Probably a good thing people die so they don't have to see how screwed up it become each generation.

Open range. The first real hunting lease I was on cost $100/year. 10 guys on 3,000 acres. it was north of San Saba with two miles of the Colorado river running through it. God only knows what that would cost now, if you could find 3,000 acres. Before that we hunted the neighbor's ranch. And yes Cast I miss M-80's Cheery bombs and all the good fireworks too.

So many good ones - but what rings most true for me are the already mentioned common sense and how people treat/help each other. These are the markers of the fundamental shift in the foundation of our society. It turns out that old Joe Mccarthy was on to something.

A Democracy is when two wolves and a lamb vote on the dinner menu. That is why this country was specifically not designed as a Democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic.
