It is amazing how much you can spend at a fast food place versus an inexpensive hole in the wall. So where is your best and worst Not a good value Went to Popeyes got the 3 piece meal, one side (Red Beans & Rice), a biscuit and a drink (Tea) for $9.47, not worth it. Went to Whataburger, got a double meat, single cheese with Jalapenos no fries or drink and I believe it was over $7.00. The meat seemed smaller and drier (new owners change?) Great Values close to work. Grand Wok on Luna at Vallwood. Single entree with noodles or rice $5.95 that is tax included, tip at register optional and it is good and more than enough. My favorite El Paisa # 11 Two Beef Enchiladas Rice & Beans $6.48 Tax included, tip at register optional #11 yesterday.

$1.50 for 10 chicken nuggets at Burger King. I had that for lunch on Tuesday. Their bbq dipping sauce is real good. Can a fellow eat for less than that? Granted that it wasn’t a whole lot of food, but I wasn’t super hungry.

Not that I have ever eaten here besides getting one of their pizzas to bring home, which was pretty good. For my son in high school however, this is the Holy Grail of fast food for his entire group of friends. They go to Sams Club a minimum of 2-3 times week. It ain’t healthy choices but it’s dirt cheap. Thought it was weird when he asked for a Sams Club membership for Christmas 😂.

Costco food court! Hot dog with all the fixings and a fountain drink $1.39. Been the same price for like 20 years. You don't need to be a member to eat in their outdoor food court. (As a side note, you can also buy beer and booze at Costco's in many states without being a member)
ETA my WORST bang for your buck. The Guess Family BBQ food truck at "The Silos" in Waco. I met my mom and aunt there for lunch a while back and noticed they had a food truck there. I work close by so the following Monday I walked over to get a brisket plate. Well, they only serve sammiches and sides off the truck. OK, gimme' a chopped sammich and a side of tater salad. $12.00!!!! It was a really good BBQ sammich with some extra burnt ends in the container, but $12.00 worth? Nope...Not doing that every day.

There isn't a Costco anywhere near where I live so I'm not a member, but my GF is a Navy doc stationed in San Diego so I'm out there once a month for a long weekend. There's a Costco across the street from the hotel we stay at and I load up there for the weekend. Their beer and booze is ijust a section inside the regular store, it's not a separate entity. Only Costco I've ever been in.

Since Mexican food is my favorite, Worst bang Gloria’s Latin Cuisine. I’ve been to Bishop Arts and Lemmon Ave. Left hungry and dang near broke both times. Good but not worth the price.
Best for me bang for the buck Cancun’s Cedar Hill Thursday chicken fajitas 7.99 ask for the hot hot sauce from the kitchen.

Best bang and Worst bang (value)
Best: QT Pizza or their Hot dogs with a large tea Costco food court Buc-ee’s BBQ sandwich
Worst: Burger Street 5 guys Any Allsup’s food (sorry guys, but they suck). I get the value, but the time you spend in the bathroom more than offsets the price point. A whole lot of BBQ joints

Best Bang - The lunch special at Bigotes Mexican Restaurant on Abram Street in Arlington...7.35 for all you can eat tacos, cheese enchiladas, rice and beans, and it actually tastes good! When you walk in, you sit down and the first thing the waitress says is, "You want the special?" Blasphemy to anybody that speaks ill of the wonderful fried burritos and chimichangas at Allsups Worst Bang - Hard 8 BBQ in Roanoke. Expensive and tastes like (expletive deleted) is not a winning combination. Just my .02, LeonCarr

My favorite at Buc-ee's is the club sandwich ordered off the screen. Pretty tasty. I like the pizza at QT, Sams, & Costco. Cheap eats.
Worst has become Rosa's. I love that place for fast dining, I don't like to eat on the go, but the prices seem to be extremely high. Their sweet tea is the best and most consistent for a chain too.

Best deal I know of is Taco Tuesday at Rosa's Cafe and Tortilla Factory in Amarillo. Taco plate (choice of beef or chicken and choice of crispy or soft) with a side of rice and a side of beans. They will also give free roasted jalapenos if you ask for them. $5.40 including tax out the door. Best thing is that it is located right across the street from the school I teach at so it s a Tues regular for me.
