The deterioration of the English language. We tried to watch a Netflix series about the Hudson Bay Company, way back when they were just starting the trapping industry in what's now Canada. Sorry, even though the characters were Scottish, I don't believe they worked "f" into absolutely every sentence they uttered, I don't care how big an outlaw any of them were. We didn't make it 10 minutes.

Nobody saves profanity anymore for when it's actually called for!

More cursing now than I ever remember. I believe it shows ignorance and lack of class. Time and place for everything.

That’s me, no class. Although I wouldn’t say ignorant, I actually have a good vocabulary, just use it sparingly.

You can trace the language all the way back to the Vulgars. The language was called bad back then. Hence where we get the word vulgar.

Today, our vulgar words are simply the language of the uneducated and classless. What started as shock value has become norm. Well actually lack of standards.

Uneducated does not necessarily have to do with education/learning. Classless does not necessarily mean poor.

That being said, there are a few instances where “vulgar” language is appropriate. Lol

Also being said, today no one seriously judges, it’s just a preference.

I have always appreciated creative cursing. Not a fan of the vulgar type when rendered at a loss of words.

The whole Beets clan on Discovery Channel gold rush cannot seem to make a single sentence without at least one bleep. For bleep sake. Not sure how many different grammatical forms they have applied but it serves a lot of different ones. I think its Tony Beets’ favorite adjective.

I think it’s becoming a lost art. My papaw had a very fine vocabulary but could give out one of the best cussings I ever heard. Not when we were little, but after a certain age, we got to hear some exceptional applications.

I’ve bailed on many movies and TV shows because of language.
