I'm on my second set of Toyo R/Ts on my 11' ram 2500 4x4 diesel long bed and have been really pleased with them. They are a cross between the AT and the MT. I had 2 sets of the toyo mt before and got 45k on each set. I loved the MTs, but dang they would sing to you on the highway. I went through some pretty nasty stuff with them, that i probably shouldnt have attempted.
The first set of the toyo RTs i got 56k miles if i remember correctly. The RT hasnt gotten me stuck yet, but they do like to be spun quite a bit faster than the MTs to clean out. I've heard great things about the toyo a/t, but i can't see myself stepping down to something less aggressive than the rts. To me, the RT is a good compromise between performance offroad and mileage.

This has been a helpful thread. Always been a BFG AT guy. Been looking at the Nitto Terra Grappler G2 as the likely next set. Don't need an aggressive tread as not in mud much, and the buggy handles most of the ranch running around.
Shotgun Willy good to hear on your experience so far. Anybody else have any real-life experieince with those in a 3/4 or 1 ton?

Several years ago I purchases some mud tires. They were the best performing off road tires I have ever had. However, here is what else they gave me, excessive road noise, lower mpg, and quick wear. My main concern when driving off road is sidewall protection from rocks. I did quite of bit of research, and went with the BFG K02's. They were not the cheapest, but are considered one of the best AT tires for a reason. I like them both on and off road, and would buy them again.

![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2020/02/full-9089-219360-img_2138.jpg) How about some Goodyear wranglers? I heard from Goodyear. They said I drove over something to break the belt and they would not accept blame. That is complete BS. I did not drive over anything. I was traveling on a good highway when it blew out. There was no forewarning. I guess when your own tires you can say whatever you please. It really pisses me off and I am going to wear these basta*ds out. I could give a rats a** about being compensated for anything. But if someone was killed or injured and they needed help Goodyear would say tuff sh*t.

Has anyone used the michelin ltx a/t2 or bridgestone dueler a/t revo3 or continental contact a/t or are they too much like highway tire do any a/t handle good in the rain. I have several sets of those Michelin’s. They are not noisy and ride very well, I drive of road when hunting and they work fine for me.
Never been to a camping world. I prefer Dick's to be honest.

Back when Ford use to put BFG ATs on 4x4s as OEMs I would look to change them out as quick as I could. In those days I ran a lot of nylon belted MTs. Mud was my primary off road concern. I have BFGs on current truck and they were OEMs on my last one. They are tough and known for sturdy sidewalls but not very good in the mud and my current ones while they have decent tread are getting slick. If money is no consideration and I was looking for an aggressive AT it would be the Cooper ST Maxx without a question. I had them on my last Tacoma and they were great. They were a little tough to balance. Right now I am debating ST Maxx, Goodyear Authority, or Cooper STT Pro.

They all have pluses and minuses. I normally try to find the best deal on a name brand tire and take my chances. I won’t buy a Chinese made tire though.

Bf's K02 are great for a half ton. While not good in mud, they work well in rocky/mesquite country. They have great sidewalls. They also wear good on the highway. Just put a new set on my truck. I had 76k on the old ones.
