Have been running the 4.5-30 on my Ruger RPR in 308 for about a year now. Used it through my SWAT sniper school and it was awesome. So far I have no complaints at all. Has performed right along with some other guys leupold mark 4's in low light shooting.

MOA Rules!!!! (Gotta get Jason fired up).
BIL, I have the Ares TAC and really like it. I left it with Jason for a while, to get his opinion, but I think he got busy and didn’t really have time to run it through it’s paces. I think he felt it was a good scope for the time he spent with it.
I’d be happy to put you behind it at a range if you want.

I’d be happy to put you behind it at a range if you want. Remember I did put it on my laser beam .223 A.I. and ran it out to 800 yards. Converting my Mil DOPE to MOA, and the scope dialed what it was told.

Although I usually get down on Chinese-made scopes, it seems that Athlon has found a recipe for making mostly-reliable, decent glass quality optics from China. They're generally a step down from Vortex in quality (meaning don't be surprised if you need the warranty). But if budget dictates something less than an SWFA HD 5-20, then Athlon is a decent option.

Correction, scope I have now is the Midas TAC and it’s been great, especially like the 10 yard parallax. Only small complaint is the parallax adjustment is a bit picky.

I’d be happy to put you behind it at a range if you want. Their customer service was really easy to work with and they had no problem giving me an upgrade to MOA
