Wow! My old girl (12) has a good sized one on her back and the vet keeps saying oh she’s fine she’s too old to knock her out for that. I’m not happy with that. Think I’m gonna go somewhere else for another opinion. Hate that labs get these things so badly.

Wow... My first hunting dog I trained and hunted with in college was still with us when we moved here to Texas. He was 13 and doing poorly, brought him to the vet, they did an x-ray and showed us something that was probably like that though a bit smaller right in his stomach area. Given his age and general well-being, the vet's opinion was he had probably done his last retrieve. We went ahead and put him down... very hard decision.

Where was that thing and was it at least a little obvious? Might take him a week or so, but your dog should feel like a $1M. Glad he's OK.

Charlie

Jake has another one almost as large over his shoulder. Regular vet is going to take that one out.

That's great to hear! I hate it when my dogs are hurting. They really are my best friends. Good luck to you both. Glad he's on the mend and got that one behind him.

Yes it is, we have a 13 year old female Lhasa Apso that costs about $400 every 3 months for her maintenance meds. She has been on them for seven years and had beat the odds as 3 years with Cushing's Disease is the average. Thanks for taking such good care of you pup. Hopefully his recovery is quick and painless.

Hope is is feeling better by now.

It looks like he grew into those big paws.

I had a female chocolate labs that had several lipomas but fortunately none got that large.
