CONCRETE SLAB 20X20 FOR KIDS (AND ME) SOME BASKETBALL. I have zero experience with concrete except pouring quikrete into a hole for posts. How difficult would it be to pour a 20x20 slab in my backyard DIY? We have a big backyard there's plenty of room for it.
About how much would it cost to have it done?

Buy beer. It's 80 square feet per yard on four inches. Pour it where it will seek its one lever.

Make it a little bigger. At least enough for high school three pointer which is 19.75'. Need room to stand behind the line.

Rockets are playing the Jazz tonight at 8:00, Harden makes three pointers from the parking lot.

Agree with needing to be bigger 30’ wide. Everyone likes to airball a 3 pointer. And you don’t want to roll your ankle on the side

With no experience at minimum I'd hire out the finish. If you're handy and have a strong back you could build the slab.. toughest part would be exciting beams. Guess instead of beams you could throw a few piers in the ground and tie the rebar into your slab steel. Next toughest part is tying the rebar. Need a strong back for that. Lots of bending.

A true half court would be 47x50, but you don’t need that big (although I would’ve loved that as a kid). Here is a link for common backyard half court dimensions. I would want it to be as level as possible. Always hated playing on outdoor courts that had humps or dips on them. https://www.versacourt.com/half-court-basketball-courts.html
I just turned it on . I was looking bird dogs in the butt this morning.

Build a tennis court. Multiple uses then. We have actually talked about building a tennis court with basketball goals and lights. $10,000 ought to get it done by a professional as far as dirt work, slab, and top coat. Electrical and fencing prob another $5,000

Electrical and fencing prob another $5,000 That's a great idea, but I think it would be at least 2-3 times that amount. CONCRETE SLAB 20X20 FOR KIDS (AND ME) SOME BASKETBALL. About how much would it cost to have it done? Great idea, but 20x20 is pretty small. I'd go at least 25x30 which will get you enough to actually have room to play, figure $5-6 psf.
