I’m looking at a few dog trainers and noticed that some have multiple dogs (2) per kennel while others maintain one dog per kennel. They said they gauge each dog’s temperament and monitor to make sure they get along and will separate if the dog is too hyper / aggressive. These are reputable trainers who people on this forum and others have vouched for but I wanted to make sure this was common or, if not, if I should be concerned. The kennels are very nice and clean.

It would depend on how big the kennel was.
If they were large runs I wouldn't mind it.
Anything 4x8 or smaller I don't think I'd want two dogs in.

Not ideal. Too many things arent controllable at that point. Does he feed in the kennel, how does he ensure proper consumption? Fighting, sickness, and the list goes on for me

No way is that normal. Once two dogs start fighting it’s too late. There will always be aggression with those dogs from that day forward. There’s no way the trainer can be on top of that aggressiveness before it turns into a fight.
Especially feeding together will bring out any bad blood between two dogs. If a trainer is doubling up more dogs in each kennel that tells me he is taking on too many dogs. I wouldn’t even consider that trainer

Kennel name?
I've been around a few professional training facilities and I've only seen one that had multiple dogs per kennel and they are a pretty small time kennel. They have large 8x8 and 10x10 runs and they'll have young dogs together.
I wouldn't do it for the reasons mentioned above.

Not at my kennels. Every dog has its own kennel; end of story. Too much can go wrong.

I can't think of one thing good that would come from it.

I wouldn't do it for the reasons mentioned above. I don’t want to post the name publicly because I haven’t had a chance to connect with them yet (closed until Monday) and don’t want to needlessly bring negative attention to the kennel. That being said, it’s a large and very reputable kennel. If it would be helpful, private message me and I’ll let you know.

If two dogs from the same family were being boarded (not in training), and the family requested it. Otherwise I would not want my dog kenneled with any other dog.
Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden. Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.

No way is that normal. And no chance I'm leaving my dog someplace that thinks it's okay, even if they tell me my dog will be alone.
