I had that happen to me once. But they had already flown the coup before I found out about it..it was awful the mess they made in a great and one year old blind. It took two days for me to clean it out, so I could use it again.

This was a couple of years ago.
As far as I know, they all made it.
The blind had fiberboard siding that wasn't painted on the inside and absorbed all the good smells!

They provide a great cover scent. That blind is more valuable now.

Had that happen once. Broom, shopvac off a generator, and a new inside seal of Kilz!

It's been a long time (1967) but I had one as a pet, raised from fist-sized furball. It loved to have its "forehead" scratched.

Couple of years ago I went down to one of my blinds and there were 2 full grown owls inside- with the doors and windows all closed. They had crapped over the whole inside- chairs, carpet, everything. I opened the door and finally coaxed them out without falling off the platform. Threw away the carpet, took the chairs to the car wash and spent my kids college money in quarters blasting the white gravy off of them. Left them outside for a week in the sun.
They sure can trash a blind.....

Have had that happen more times than I care to think about.

I usually pull the old carpet out, scrape as much of anything left behind out as I can, let it dry out a while then come back and hit it with a pump up sprayer with a heavy concentration of bleach water, new carpet and do it again.

Several years ago went hunting with my wife at our place. Got to the stand and chased an owl out. I offered to go back to camp or a different blind but she said it would be ok.... lol about a half hour in she was wishing she could go back and change her mind!

Been there, done that. We actually salvaged the blind but I never hunted it.
