I would suggest not putting hardwood in your kitchen or bathroom, go with tile there.

I keep telling women that but they don't listen. They are all putting hardwoods in their kitchens now.

I hire my Mexicans buddies for 90% of all my house work costing me half.

Heck, you call a gringo contractor for major work, and they will send you a nice clean cut gringo supervisor the first day, followed by mexicans the next 5 who really do the work.

Who you going to call when you have a warranty issue? Who is going to pay for your house when your Mexican Buddies catch your house on fire while working and he has no General Liability insurance? Not Hose A or Hose B, they will say “no habla English“ and you will pay out your azz.

My point was that pretty much majority of hand labor in Texas is done by Mexicans, like it or not, but thats reality and they do good work, hardly ever complain.
Majority of the Mexicans doing work at my house have been friends for a long time. We do business on a hand shake.
If they ever screw me over, they know they gonna have to deal with my better friend El Papy Chuly.
Trust me, you don't want to deal with El Papy Chuly, he is a man of few words.

Agreed Beaver, some of my better men are Hispanic. Here legally and do a hell of a job. My point was that the “Gringo” is the one that has the insurance, accounts for material, stability in the area for warranty issues, etc. if they should ever arise. Seems you have a good connection and have had great success and that’s good.
