Further testing often shows that to be a pituitary lipoma. They are common and often go undetected. If that’s the case it will be reabsorbed by the body. My oldest daughter had one when she was 10. They found it because of the migraines it was causing. Scared is to death as parents. I have no medical knowledge, just the personal experience and the information I learned then. Good luck.

Praying for your wife and you HOF. Like 603 said, get to MD Anderson as they deal with this type of event every day. My daughter had brain surgery in Plano to remove a growth and while she is still with us and can work and drive the results could have been better. If we had it to do all over we would have taken her to MD Anderson.

Find out the diagnosis/prognosis and then decide.

I like to stay as close to home as possible. Less stress.

MD Anderson has it's place at times, just not all the time.

Prayers up for you and the Misses Sir

At MD Anderson, I had a Neurosurgeon and a team of 5 doctors that reviewed the diagnosis through the stages of my treatment. It wasn’t just one doctor making decisions about my life.

Years ago, and years after my surgery, I was on a plane coming back from somewhere. I got to talking with the woman next to me. She, it turned out, was a cancer hospital auditor. I told her my story and she said that I had gone to the right place. She further said that there were 4 top hospitals for cancer treatment. They were MD Anderson, the Mayo Clinic, a hospital on the west coast and one on the east coast. I had to ask which one or ones were the worst. She said that she really shouldn’t give out info like that. Then she whispered “don’t get treatment in Beaumont/Port Arthur”.

MD Anderson is a teaching hospital, and I had to fill out a loose leaf binder about my life. Lots of questions about sunburns and degree thereof, what I ate, what I drink, and there was a section on my sex life. Lots of extremely personal questions. Send the spouse for coffee when you fill that section out.

Prayers, y'all are some of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and breaking bread with.

Dang HOF. Sorry to hear that. Prayers sent for strength for your wife and your family. May the Lords proved guidance of the surgeons hands and wisdom to make the right decisions.
