Don't know why the stuff is still like 3-4 dollars a pound? I do know that it will make some killer tender tacos and its super easy to make. This is how mama taught me to do it. Its south of the border little old mexican lady good! Give it a try.

Yeh buddy. The cheek is the best part of the cow. I didn't watch the video, but looks like how I make it in a crockpot. Cheeks/S&P/onion/garlic/bay leaf. That's it. Fresh toasted corn torts with onion & cilantro, a little fresh salsita and. I make it pretty regularly. Smoked barbacoa takes it to a whole nother level. I used to cook a couple heads in the ground traditional style at the ranch every year for our annual dove hunt, but haven't done that in a while. If it's not head/cheek it ain't barbacoa! Nowhere near the same flavor & texture.

I love barbacoa! Great video and a nice simple recipe. I've done this same preparation with doves also and it worked well. Looks great!

Appreciate it skinner. Just started on the keto diet and found some low carb wraps to use with my barbacoa. 5 net carbs per. Trying to have my cake and eat it to.
