This is my first post, this is my second season hunting I only get out once a year in the late season I was wondering if anyone hunts in Comanche county and how it’s been this year?

Not a lot of deer being seen. Too many good acorns laying about .

Acorns made this one of the worst years I can remember. But welcome to the forum.

Rut happened early November and all hell broke loose. Got a nice 10 on 11/10. Tried to get my does since and it has been DEAD with little movement . Acorns everywhere and other than cows spooking bedded deer in the woods, have not seen any movement and corn piling up under the feeders. Might try to get a doe during th extended season but not keeping my fingers crossed.

Slowest year we’ve had in Comanche county. Definitely aren’t seeing the numbers we’ve seen in the past. Luckily I was able to take a 10pt in November chasing a doe and was able to take a doe last week with my boy in the stand. But in general it’s been really slow. Same story as everyone else, corn Is piling up and acorns are thick.

Nice deer. I hunt near Rochelle, cell cameras up and running all year. Our deer numbers have been down also. Who ever has the oak trees producing acorns please send our deer back . Thanks

we were hammered by acorns too. December was really slow for us, deer not really touching feeders
