How long do you leave your brass in the vibratory case cleaner with walnut media?

The longer you leave it in ,the lighter the color it will become and the finish also changes.

I leave it for like 10-12 hrs usually over night. I just turn it on at some point in the night then turn it off the next morning. Honestly, I have no idea why.

It totally depends on the tumbler, media used, and how dirty the brass is. I run a big Dillon vibrating tumbler with walnut media treated with a brass polish. I tumble my brass over night for about 6-8 hours. It comes out very shiny and pretty. Other tumblers with a different or more course media may take less time.

3-4 hours usually with walnut or corn cob and NuFinish car polish. If the brass is really grungy like outdoor range pickups I will let it run overnight.

Organic media takes some time. I put a timer on my extension cord and run it for 12 hours. If I tumble it in my wet SS media it cleans it quickly and then to make it pretty I can tumble it in the vibratory with organic media and it takes much less time.

Clean enough for my needs. Its typically not polished like the outside but its clean enough for my needs. If you want spotless inside and out get a stainless wet tumbler. Ultrasonic will clean inside and out but doesn't polish like dry.

I need to get me some walnut media. I have corn cob now and if I have dirty cases I can easily let it go 24 hours before they are what I want. If they aren't bad dirty or tarnished sometimes as little as an hour is enough though.
