Yup, turns your 22 into a pellet gun basically. No powder just powered by the priming mixture.
The will not come near to cycling a semi-auto but a single shot, bolt action, some pumps and leaver actions they function well from. the short barrels of handguns will give more velocity than rifles with these loads.
I have had to push a few of the bullets out of the barrel on rifles with a cleaning rod.
When they first came out I know several that used them on pests around the house out of a handgun and they said they worked,
lf the saying "Liar, Liar your pants on fire" were true Mainstream news might be fun to watch

I shoot squirrels out of the garden with them. Both my .22’s auto’s shoot shorts, although they don’t eject by themselves, it’s like shooting a bolt action. Super quiet, less than any pellet gun I own.

When I was a kid,(70) some years ago, we had B-B caps. .22 short with just the primer and a B-B pushed in the end. Worked good on birds.

Love them. Quieter than a pellet gun when shot out of a rifle.

Perfect in my Old Model Single Six. They also make a short brass, LR length 50 grain lead bullet cartridge that's really good for shorter range small varmint control.
Pass the gravy.
