As title says. Myself and 3 out of state buddies are looking to book an Aoudad hunt for next fall or 2021. Looking for big country and free range is a must. No camp, amneties, babysitting, etc needed.

Muley Mike is your guy... but don't expect a 2021 booking. Your best bet is to have the cash and time available for a cancellation if you want to go sooner.

This thread certainly came back from the dead-- gotta ask, why won't you book with WTHO?

Josh You’re a wise man. You probably learned the hard way like me. Non-stop drinking, junk equipment, poor guides, no animals. This is a public forum. I’m being kind. Unbelievable.

Cant please everyone...
Dont know how everyone hunts on a diy hunt.... funny how a new poster randomly jumps on here to complain.
Original poster used to guide for me and actually contacted me several times to book this hunt but he didn't like my pricing. Oh well.
I have tons of happy clients who love my outfit but also some who watch too many hunting shows. If you had an issue was it addressed or just an internet warrior? Or didn't listen to what you were actually booking?
I have hundreds of positive references off this forum alone so guess I'm doing something right.
Josh if your going to complain then dont text me asking if I have anything available and get mad when I say I'm booked. Your full of it.
Anybody else with an issue feel free to call me directly, my number is readily available. I like my beer and I still get it done. To each there own.
Good day

Good day Please do your best to point out where I’m “complaining” in this thread... Pricing had nothing to do with our choice wether to hunt with you or not. Maybe your inconsistent bullschit did? You’re (not your) right about one thing princess, I used to guide for you. Not as easy to pawn one of your schitty arse places off on someone with a little savvy huh fat boy?

I can assure you I’ve been a witness to my share of schit shows. Patching up Mike’s ineptness was a constant. Know plenty of guys burned, including hunters I sent his way that I’ve done business with for years. Most take the high road and nothing is ever said.

So my [censored] places you asked to come hunt? My [censored] places that are booked up by very happy repeat clients? My clients have a lot to say about you as well. I'm not interested in a pissing match nor have the time too.
In my contract that each client signs before there hunt with plenty of time to review it states clearly that if there is an issue with the hunt that it needs to be brought up to me immediately so I can try to correct the problem. Not months or years later when you decide to vent and too late for a remedy. So if anyone has an issue why was it not brought to my attention?
If anyone has an issue now is your chance to call me like an adult and discuss it. I will gladly do so. I'll be waiting...
Josh, good luck to you man. You were a good guide and hunted hard but lacked communication and did not work well with my team. My guides, the landowners I work with we are like family and we look out for each other as a hole. You were out for number #1. That works for some but not my crew. Everyone is entitled to there opinion and not everyone will be happy even on perfect hunts. We have had some crappy hunts and I cant be there for them all and I do really wish everyone is happy when they leave but If I'm not told there is a problem then how am I supposed to know?
Sometimes vehicles brake down and we go to plan b, sometimes we have family issues or are away for weeks on end from our wives and kids so we are not always 100%. Sometimes there's personal issues we just dont need to make known to our clients but they assume.
Yeah we don't drive around in brand new trucks or rangers and we use what we have but we are still successful with what we have. Thankfully I have met some awesome people on this forum and from all over the world who were happy the way we hunt. There are numerous magazine articles and shows filmed with us and references I can gladly offer to anyone interested.
I will no longer open or reply to this thread. Like I said above if you have an issue please Call me and I'll gladly discuss.

He is an honest man, no [censored], and has always being true to his word...
this is very far from my experience..IMHO

Hmmm I’ve hunted with Mike twice. Once for axis (successful) and once for aoudad (unsuccessful) and had no issue either time. My unsuccessful hunt my guide busted his [censored] to get it done. Turns out I was only unsuccessful because a fall I had bent my scope rail so I missed by a mile. Vehicles worked and we drank some beer but never saw a problem

Mike is a stand up guy. I have hunted will his operation on 3 different occasions. 2 were unsuccessful and 1 was successful. WTHO will go out of their way to make you or your group happy and successful. I will continue to book with him. I couldn't imagine him trying to screw someone over, that's not how he operates.

These comments really contradict all the good reviews I’ve read about Mike and his operation. I’ve only hunted with Mike once and it was a DIY javelina hunt. Never met him. But, everything was as described and he communicated very well leading up to and after the hunt. You can’t please everyone but In my dealings with Mike I never got the impression he provided anything less than his best.

I have never hunted with Mike personally but know a number of others that have for a number of years. I have heard nothing but praise for him and his outfit even on unsuccessful hunts, they busted their tails to put the hunters on game. I would not hesitate to book a hunt with his outfit if I ever desired that type of a hunt. You can't please everyone all the time and I know from personal experience on how some hunters can be very picky on the higher dollar paid hunt. Best wishes in finding a good fit for you and your buddies!

Hunted with Mike one time and I would definitely do It again. We had a great time and saw lots of animals. Not sure what their beef is with him but they went out of their way with great food, great atmosphere and lodging.
Spend time with the ones you love. Time is not guaranteed.

BTDT with Mike and I’ll gladly spend me money elsewhere. Pretty simple concept.

I have been on 5 hunts with WTHO. I have been happy with every one. Mike is one my go to guy for Texas hunts.
Oh and I do not drink or do drugs. Never had issues with guides or clients drinking or doing drugs on Mike’s hunts.
