Anyone have first hand feedback on this rifle? Seems to get very good reviews for the cost. I'm not looking for a high volume bench shooter. Just something to add to the arsenal that I can tinker with a little longer range capability.

If you are referring to the compass I do have one. Bought it for my son about 2 months ago. Threw a cheap scope on it to hunt with this year. Trigger is pretty crisp but heavy. Put the mcarbo spring kit in and much better. Haven’t had a chance to shoot it since the trigger work but I’d anticipate it being as good or better than they claim.

Friend bought one to hunt with since he already reloaded the 6.5 CM for his target rifle. It's a solid 1 inch rifle with his handloads.
Silver spurs and gold tequila keep me hanging on. Pretty girls and old cantinas give me shelter from the storm.

I have seen just one in action and it was a 6.5 Creedmoor and it was amazingly accurate

Appreciate the feedback. I grabbed the last one they had at local academy here. Looking forward to shooting it.

Just go ahead and order trigger springs. It’s night and day.

Should be able to adjust it some but it wasn’t near enough to make me happy. My son is spoiled and shoots lighter triggers much better. I don’t have a way to measure it but the other rifle he shoots a lot is at 1.5-2 and it feels about the same. Install is easy and if you need someone to walk you through I’d be happy too.

Just go ahead and order trigger springs. It’s night and day. Did you replace all 3 springs or just the one green spring with the nuts?

Sure did. Was afraid not to with nothing else securing it. I tried leaving a nut on top and on bottom but wasn’t light enough.

We own a few. Ours will shoot 1” 3 shot groups at 100yrd with hornady whitetail and hornady black. Itll shoot hornady black less than 3” at 300 yards.

Hope to shoot this weekend so I can truly appreciate the upgrade. Thanks for the heads up!! As a follow-up, I got the gun, mounted the scope, torqued everything to specs, etc. Hit the range Sunday to sight it in and the bolt will not close with a round in the chamber. Tried multiple ammo brands and none worked. Never even heard of this happening, much less experienced it firsthand. Not a single complaint about it that I could find online. Even took it to a gunsmith to look at and make sure I had not lost my marbles. They could not get it to close either. Hoping just a faulty bolt and I can get them to send me a new one to try before removing the scope/mount, etc and returning it...…………….for God knows how long to get it repaired/replaced. If a new bolt isn't the answer, thinking chamber in barrel wasn't milled to proper specs. Would have thought these all go through a minimum QA test before they get boxed up but I guess not. I'll report back on findings. Another frustration is that they have completely shut down all lines of communication at Smith and Wesson / TC Arms from 12/21/19 - 1/2/20. Seems like a long time to have zero customer service available for a company of their size but it is what it is.

Man that sucks. I had a Venture in 30-06. It shot really well. At some point, the bolt stop broke. I called TC, and they charged me $25 and said it’ll be there in a week. Called back a week later. “That part is on backorder.” “You do make these guns, right?” “Well we can’t just go get one off the production line.” I finally got my part 2 months later. The rifle was 6 months old. I sold it.
Hope you get it all sorted out!!
The secret to a long life is to try not to shorten it.
