AR pistol in 223 or Remington 700 in 223 or Remington 700 in 30-06 or DPMS LR10 in 308 or AK 47 in 7.62x39
Soooooo basically whatever I grab on the way out the door.

Cheap and easy - I carry a Bond Arms Snake Slayer loaded with .410 for rattlebugs and keep a Marlin XT-22 Mag (I like the Maxi-Mag ammo) for varmints while on the Mule or tractor. The Marlin has been through a lot over the years, but shoots straight and I don't worry too much about scratches or dings.

For the last several years it has been a Rossi M92 trapper in .357.
I think that may soon change to a custom Remington 700 16" 6.5CM. I'm just waiting on scope rings and sight in.

Remington youth model 7 .243. Easy to get out the window and a great shooter. My kids killed a lot of deer with it growing up. I just moved it to the truck

Reloading is a SOB but 1 shot from grandpa and the bad guys are heading the other way!!! And if you miss, you have a smoke screen to hide your getaway!!

how you gonna shoot something outta the truck if you don't have a gun in the truck?
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

depends on what I dig out of my safe, favorites are Ruger 10/22, Ruger Mini 14, 581 series, so pretty good accuracy. Ruger M77/44, and always ARs

I ran with the model 94 30-30 iron sights for years when you could use the back window rack. hmm, still have the window rack, but I am using the 20" 300 hamr now with a red dot that can handle all of my yote, badger, bear and cat issues here. I just make sure to carry the weapon back into the house now a days instead of leaving it in the truck.
So, A truck gun is going to get beat up, the AR lego platform is cheaper than my 30-30, so I went the 300 hamr route. (The model 94 is a family hand me down so it means something to me)

6.8 SPC 10in barrel and suppressed. Small and light easy to maneuver around. Shot this hog few weeks ago with it while checking a camera.

I just bought a Smith & Wesson Governor and I really like it. Would rather shoot bird shot than Personal Defense Ammo and back it up with 3ACP's. The PDA groups so tight that you might as well have six 45's in it.
If 3 #4 Bird Shot to the face doesn't slow them down the rest will.
