I bought a couple of boxes of Barnes bullets this weekend. I got a good deal and thought I would try them out. After opening the box the bullets look a bit rough to me. Is this normal?

I have never used Barnes before, but I am not used to seeing bullets with slight (very slight) imperfections on the outside. I assume any imperfections go away after being fired down a barrel, and that this is a result of their unique construction.

For the price I assume Barnes knows what they are doing. Still I am curious.

I have never seen any barnes bullets that look rough in any way. Now I have only bought 1 box but they were in great shape. I would be very cautious about using them! jmho

Thanks guys.

caddokiller - It is hard to describe how they look. I just know it stood out to me when I saw them. They do not look as smooth as every other bullet I have seen.

yukons95 - Thank you. I will pm you over a photo here shortly. I'd like to know what you think about them. Any help I can get on them would be great.
