The TSX did not work well for me at all and I swore off the monometal bullets for awhile. In stark contrast, the Barnes TTSX has performed very consistently, mostly dropping the animals where they stand from small 25# pigs to very large 200#+ deer and pigs. The Barnes TTSX now is my go to choice. My comments are specific to the Barnes TTSX only, and definitely not the TSX. Here is a 189# WT buck from yesterday morning for some wound photos from a TTSX for consideration. The finger is in the photo for scale/size reference. .308 Win 130 gr TTSX 3080 MV distance 125 yards. Impact velocity 2700+. The entry wound is slightly larger than the exit. Dropped where it stood. Nice buck and nice shooting. And it’s very interesting about the TTSX vs the TSX.
Not my monkeys, not my circus...

Nice, Jeff! The trick to making the Barnes bullets to work well is velocity.

Congrats on your buck!
I shot a 180 lb buck a few weeks ago with a very similar shot placement and performance. I think your entrance is close enough to the spine it disrupts it, or at least I feel mine was.
It's hell eatin em live
