Just picked up my first pics from the new Stealth Cam and got this little buck and a few does. He seems to be frequenting this spot as I've got him on 3 out of the 4 days I had the camera out. What excited me most was NO HOGS!

Deer looks in decent shape, and plenty of green where you hunt.

Wish may area looked that green! We need rain in the worst way!

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

I am hunting in Brown Co. (Brownwood/Early, Tx area) and the amount of rain has been above average for this time of year. We have and continue to see deer, in large groups, all the time. the fawn crop looks real good and all the pics we have from cameras show very healthy does and bucks. one pic on the camera had 7 bucks....7 bucks...wow! I don't know about the rest of the state, but I think if you are around Brown Co. it should be a great season.

It doesn't hurt that there is always something planted on the property either. They just turned the corn out and we watched approx. 20-25 deer feeding on the leftovers Saturday evening.

Got 0.64 inches of rain yesterday (July 27th) at lease. Hopefully it will keep coming this week.

Horns are looking good in Northern Morris and Western Cass.

Not even sure what the weather has been like in Motley County, but I'll sure find out next weekend. Here's my prediction... I'll use everyone of my tags, and fill my freezers up. I'm gonna be eating lots of venison next year.

Shootin Deers and Drinking Beers. That's how I roll.
