Im a sucker for books with settings in Texas. Would you take a chance on this one?

The Best Lousy Choice
By Jim Nesbitt
Thrillers
A Texan crime thriller “filled with action, atmosphere, and unforgettable characters” (Shamus Award–winning author Rich Zahradnik): Tired of taking on lousy, unfulfilling work, Dallas PI Ed Earl Burch jumps at the chance to investigate the murder of a rich rancher and war hero — a case no one else will touch.

Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

I can't watch shows or movies about law enforcement. I think the only LE books I have ever read were written by Joseph Wambaugh and Bill Jordan.

Bill, here’s a novel set in Texas by one of my favorite authors:

SMALL MOVING PARTS
by D.B. Jackson

The world is a complicated place with lots of small moving parts.
When someone moves one part just a little, it causes all the other parts
to move in ways we can’t see coming.

Yes it is available on Kindle.
It is very good.

Bill, if you like history you might like this one.....Through Unexplored Texas by W. B. Parker. It is about exploring North Texas in 1854. Notes Taken During an Expedition Commanded by Capt. R.B. Marcy.
