All I can say is if they are at my feeder they get stuck by sharp sticks or end up with lead poisoning.

Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

The Front Page above the fold lead story of today's Palestine Herald Newspaper has a color photo of a sounder in the same yard location where the lady died, and a complete sourced story of the attack. I had also seen a report yesterday I think it was in the Dallas Morning News ** with the details of who the lady was, what she was doing in the yard at that hour, and the damage done to her, and the Cause of Death ruling by the Coroner. I made a big deal of the story to my wife to impress on her the necessity of watching what's going on around, especilly after dark anytime she outside, as we have enough hog damage at the end of my block that something like this is possible anywhere on my street, 2 block outside the Palestine Loop and 2 blocks south of the Brushy Creek crossing coming out of 254 acre Davey Dogwood Park. .

I talked to the guy who owns the house at the end of the block 2 days ago, I walk the 70+ lb young Lab to the end of my street every morning rain or shine down there, and he said he has had a City Contractor kill more than a few 200+ lb'ers using a suppressed rifle in the last 10 days/ 2 weeks, after the same City contracted Trapper's efforts fizzled out after his inital success of a dozen or more hogs killed in October for several weeks until the hogs wised up and would not go near a trap. That guy has a 2 acre yard that is professionaly maintained weekly or bi weekly in the winter. The yard was totally destroyed earlier this fall with 24 hour yard lighting and 2 dog pens of big guard dogs on his back property line, and the 8 acre estate my house backs up to always has a little evidence of hog damage, but the owner keeps his grass cut at the bottom settng with constant mowing.every 5 to 7 days. My 2 1/2 year old Lab goes out in the morning when I get up 'tween 4 & 5am and always has "something to say" and is all hackled up and bigtime hyper to whatever is in the yard behind me when he comes in to eat breakfast 5am.

** Dallas Morning News , Tuesday, 11-26-2019, Section B, Page 11 State News column. Same details as the Palestine Herald of 11-27-2019

Do I question any of the details in the story out of Anahuac ...not a word.

God Bless that poor lady who was only doing God's work as an old couple's caretaker.

The incident happened a few miles from my house, it’s strange everyone is freaking out about it and they have been asking people are you going to go kill the pigs that killed her? I had to exsplain there’s probaly a couple thousand hogs in that area!
I think it wasn’t pigs, I think she had dirt on the Clintons!
