A fiery explosion at a chemical plant rocked a rural Texas county early Wednesday morning, injuring three workers, blowing out windows and rattling houses for miles, officials said.
An explosion at the TPC plant in Port Neches, located in Jefferson County, near the Louisiana border, lit up the sky around 1 a.m. local time, according to The Orange Leader. The town is located east of Houston and inland from the Gulf of Mexico. Didn't see it posted yet

This is a very scary situation; it's got to be at the point where letting it burn is the best choice.

This is a very scary situation; it's got to be at the point where letting it burn is the best choice. With an uncontrolled vapor release, that's the only choice.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Saw on the morning news that they have been fined $200,000 over the last couple of years. People are now returning to their homes.

Any of you know what that facility was producing? I used to work for a company that had a plant in Port Neches, and I wonder if it was this plant that blew.
