 Which stuffing plate for grinder

Do yal use the stuffing plate on after grinding when stuffing the 2" game bags for straight from whatever size grinding plate? Seems like I can eliminate a step without using stuffing plate because I usually grind twice to make sure the beef or pork is mixed good with venison.

we did two grinds last time, one course and one fine, when we used the fine plate we stuffed straight into the game bags, worked fine for us.

We use a 3/16" plate to grind everything. From grinder right to stuffer without issue.
