I kept seeing this thing on the news, but knew nothing about it. Except all these Hollywood types are trying to halt the execution.

19 year old girl was driving to her job at HEB in Bastrop. Was abducted, raped and killed. Reeds DNA found in her anus and on her breasts.

She was dating a cop in Giddings and gonna get married. Reed gets popped on DNA, his only answer is they had a secret affair. This is complicated by a coworker who said that she was told by the victim she was seeing a black guy named Rodney. The cop she was gonna marry was arrested for an unrelated sexual assault.

All of that needs to be cleaned up.

My issue that no one is bringing up and that is difficult to find on google is: where did they get his DNA? What no one has covered is his DNA was collected from another girl who got abducted and raped and escaped. Reed was identified in a lineup which led to his DNA collection. It matched the first very similar murder.

His DNA was also matched to another rape of a 12 year old who was raped and sodomized in her home by this guy.


It pisses me off that you have to research to find the entire facts. They glance over his other rapes.

That’s status quo, these days. I bet I don’t have to explain to anyone why, either.

Sadly, watching the news is a waste of time these days. Except for the weather.

You and I are on the same page Roll-Tide. We have a place near Giddings and my wife has dozens of relatives in the area. Quite a few of them know Reed and they swear that he's innocent. I think the guy is guilty as sin.

There seem to be real issues with the death penalty conviction, but some people are saying this is a bad case to take up, because he is a POS who definitely raped a 12 year old.

There is a guy named Deke Pierce, retired LEO, find some stuff about what he thinks of this case.

The Bexar Co DA sent a letter to the Gov. requesting the stay, I'm sure that was the weight that had the stay put in place. If he is innocent I hope they can prove it and find the real perp. Either way my money is on him getting the death sentence commuted to life hopefully with no parole.

I went to school with a guy named Rodney Reed. He was in the Corps and went on to be a Ranger. Not the same guy but when I saw the articles popping up on social media I had to double check.

The John Grisham boot that I'm reading is called The Guardians. Hers an excerpt.

I certainly don’t think he’s innocent. There is doubt that needs to be cleaned up. But the guys a rapist and tried to kill another woman the exact same way under the same circumstances outweighs what a coworker says she heard 20 years ago.
It certainly outweighs what a prisoner says he was told.

Deke may be a great guy, but is now a politician.

To me the whole situation is being looked over and no one has reported that even if this guy is exonerated on this case, he still spends the rest of his life in jail on the other rapes.
They have to know this guy raped others including a child.

That was my point. You really have to dig to find the other pending rapes. It’s disgusting to all these victims that the whole story is not being told. They have to go through watching this. Acting like this guy who sodomized a 12 year old is being treated unfairly.

A statement made by Deke Pierce at the Texas Capitol last month. The death penalty was only assessed in this one case, the fact he is a POS, a rapist etc., is not the issue, the issue is there seems to be reasonable doubt in the case in which he was sentenced to death. That is our justice system.

Those other cases are not death penalty cases. However, they were apart of punishment. Has there been doubt raised? Sure, but innuendos and alleged 20 year old conversations are different than facts.

That article goes on and on about Fennel. It barely mentions the other rapes. In fact it glances over them.

My point is this: All these people are slanting the story and omitting the key fact that this guy is a serial rapist. The author of that story couldn’t fathom how Stites was abducted. Even though he did the exact same thing a few months later.

If a story or agenda is mentioned. Just don’t hide the fact this guys a rapist.
