I'm looking to buy a new call to try draw in some Specklebellies this season. Tried a few out, but everybody I know runs runs something different. What does the brain trust here think?

I've got a haydels. I struggle with it, but I know it's me as occasionally I can make it sound really good.

I used an echo specko until I lost that whole lanyard, then got a riceland. Both are comparable, echo was maybe a little easier to blow but I think the riceland sounds a hair better.

Comeback calls just dropped their speck call a couple months ago and its a good call!

Also you can not go wrong with a redbone

They are both very easy calls to blow, just your redbone will be more expensive

I've had two Riceland 3/4" and love them. Can't go wrong with a Redbone either.

Riceland or Redbone as said before. I've been blowing the 5/8" guts Riceland for 5 years and love it. If you're new to speck calling try the 1/2" gut, uses less air and a little more forgiving. Joe Briscoe (JB Custom Calls) makes a great one as well. Just doesn't have the volume but is super easy to blow and great sound.
