I picked up a Llama 9mm Parabellum on a 1911 frame, but I can't figure out the model. On the slide it says "GABILONDOY Y CIA. VITORIA (ESPANA). Then on the frame by the trigger it says: C.M.I. Miami Florida/ Made in Spain. On the oppsite side down by the trigger- it has tow emblems then has "M.2" can anyone tell me the model number of this gun?Has the 10 round Mag and was Imported prior to Stoeger. Here is a Pic:

Funny thing, I've never seen a model number on any LLama. It's just their version of the 1911.
I DIDN'T VOTE FOR HIM!

I hear ya. I have the book and there are many model numbers listed, but I can't quite put my finger on which one this is. I know most of the history on this one and it just came out of the safe after 15yrs. I would just like to pinpoint what model number I have.- Its actually a great shooter and I'm more pleased than I thought I would be with it.

Llama IX-? for sure. Can't tell you which one, IX-A, -B, etc. without researching the picture and what calibers each model came in. But it is definately one of the Llama IX models. That will get you started. Do an internet search for Llama IX.

Note, I think it is an IXC, seen recent imports for sale, but I have only seen them for sale in 45.

Well I know Stoeger didn't import prior to 93' and this one was brought in prior to that. The guy I bought this from has had it in the safe for some 15yrs and it was purchased new by his wifes dad some time earlier. I guess its just peace of mind I'm looking for knowing which model I have. By all the book prices I have - I gave a fair price, but it has wound up being a solid shooter and now looks like I will be keeping it

Well Llama has been no more for some time now, so by recent import, I mean recent surplus imports. Looks like a really nice pistol. The only spanish pistol I have is a Star Model F, and it is one of my favorites. I rabbit hunt with it.
