Bone Broth is the new superfood? Who knew Grandmaw's Chicken noodle soup was actually good for you!! Since Broth is actually made by boiling the carcass of an animal...in other words, the bones...Are they trying to sound like they discovered something new by now calling it "Bone Broth"?

it's just stock. Makes great soup. Yup...used to cook down beef and chicken bones all the time to make stock. You can simmer it down then pour it into an old school ice cube tray. Quick and easy way to keep homemade stock concentrate for soups and such. We would break the bones so the marrow would cook out into the stock. Add celery, onion, spices, etc. Reduce and store in the freezer. My BIL does venison and fish the same way....

Don't boil it. Simmer real low.

Roast and brown the bones first, then crack them open and simmer them all day.

I make bone broth for chili, soups, and stews. Also for my dog, it's excellent for humans and pets. The health benefits of bone broth might be over exaggerated in some cases but I've been happy with it, and it's delicious. When I make it for the dog I don't use any veggies or seasonings though. Typically simmer the bones for at least 24 hours. Bone broth once cooled will almost have the consistency of jello.

Pass. I shortcut to Liptons Beafy Onion Soup. Since when did you become a lazy cook? Your cooking is worthy of some bone broth.

I bone my turkey out and crack the bones to make my stock. No one has ever had turkey dressing better than mine.
