Pic of deer my bro took...
[Linked Image]

scratch Tis thinking the deformation in antler tis due ta buck hitting something, maybe a car... The one ear tis pushed back... Also appears ta have bump, swelling on one side by ear & sensation on other side... Recently found
out the deer has showed up on a neighbor's cam for last three years, deformed rack...
At first thought it might have gotten in sparing fight while in velvet...
Also checked cam's & got several pic's of bucks fighting on the 11th...
Just curious what ya'll think...
As crops being harvested, tis been weird year, deer get pushed at night & often get hit on road... Been several nice bucks, lost ta vehicals this year... Could he have been a survivor?

Old injury while in velvet. More than likely damaged the pedicle.

cheers pic only shows back, at first thought it was just early velvet fighting...
Then later noticed the drop, pushed back ear, the other ear tight against rack...
& ast night heard others had pic of deformed rack for last 3 years,
scratch thinking same deer...
Would agree with ya, always heard injury ta one side, causes deformation on
other side of rack... This deer tis health, no sign of injury, till started looking
closer ta rack... Looks like head injury... Tis tough, ta say from looking at pic..
Defanatly injury ta pedicle, & from what found out at earlier age...
Tis amazing how racks grow pretty much same, year after year...
Thanks for input...
