Leopold Mark 4 1 piece. I just put one on my wife's Ruger AR .

Best is too subjective and there are tons of AR mounts that work.
I've used SWFA SSALT and Leupold MK2 IMS for 30MM scopes and DNZ Freedom Reaper on 1" Scopes. They all have worked fine.

The Leupold mounts are nice, I’ve used a couple. American Defense also makes some really nice quick detach mounts

its a Leupold VX-6, 1-6X24mm CDS
Firedot 4tm, Metric Model # 11320,
I think its discontinued. The thing I LOVE about it, it has a VERY precise illuminated "Firedot" in the Duplex, NO "Christmas Tree" or "Donut" reticle's
Very good up close on 1X with both eyes open, or out to 300+ on 6X
