So second year in a row im losing a step parent to this ugly beast.
Last year it was my now ex step mother, she lost her battle to blood cancer. It was hard but she had lived in Florida for years and was a bit easier to handle.
Now Im living back with my mother to help care for my step dad, he has grade 4 glioblastoma brain cancer. This week she decided it was time for hospice.
I do my best to hide my emotions around them, and jsut help in everyway I can. My mother has made it a point to have me go fish during the early months,
but now he needs constant help so hunting this year has been a bust. Even if i got a free weekend to go hunt the land I used to hunt on is gone now the owner finally moved back in with his family and sold the land.
To top that off my daughter didn't know my step mom very well, but has known my step dad since birth, and I just don't know how she is going to take it.
Just ranting a bit I guess, needed to let it out some.

I feel your pain. I dealt with glioblastoma with my sister and a first cousin. I know the outcome as well as you do and I want you to know that I truly sympathize with your situation. Just do what you can for all involved. I'm with you, eff cancer!
Character is what you do when nobody's looking.

Prayers up. Cancer is the worst.
Lost two very close family friends last year to it. My dad’s best friend and his daughter, who was my age and we grew up together. The most recent victims of people close to me. It sucks.

My thoughts are with you and your family. Just last week one of my closest friends 19 year old son was diagnosed with leukemia. Cancer has taken most of my family on my dad's side.......

Terrible stuff. If you need to get out to do some hunting I can take you duck hunting or pig hunting. If you get free please please don't hesitate. I've been there, don't know where you're located but I'm in North Texas.

ducknbass- I will defiently take you up on that my fiance lives with us and has never shot a pig. Im sure at some point ill have a free weekend when some family comes to visit. Ill shoot you a pm
