A dozen years ago I built a 4 1/2 acre pond on our land and stocked it the following year. The pond record for bass has been 5 pounds for the last couple of years and I was worried that I was stuck there, but then last week, my wife caught this one!!! 7 1/2 pounds that put up a great fight, jumping out of the water and really challenging her. Now she wants a bigger one!!!

Thank you. What makes this extra special is that she had colon cancer last year and spent 30 days in the hospital, then several months after treatment recovering in bed. She is ultra sensitive to the heat from the Chemo and Radiation, so we can only go fishing once the heat of summer breaks. Fishing is a huge passion for her and she has a talent for it. Most days she will cast three times as man as I do, and we will be using the exact same bait!!!
