OK not really fishing, but cows never cease to entertain. At least I know where that 50 ft roll of 3/8 sash cord went to, there's only around 12 ft of it outside the cow!
They've eaten my Pop up Up blinds, upholstery out of a vehicle, belts off my pump jacks, exposed PVC parts, hoses of my engines, 1 gallon oil containers, thread protectors, they've even eaten the coil wire off my AJAX motors while they were running. On my place a deer hide won't last a month before the cows eat it, chew on the bones and antlers. They'll eat road kill!

I wonder what would happen if you started pulling that rope? Surely leaving it in will kill it?

I was thinking more on the lines of tying it together when it starts to exit, kind of a continuous chew toy.

One of my friends parked his boat on the ranch and I drove by and saw a cow had every bit of the yellow polypropylene ski rope consumed except for the handle. I eased up and grabbed the handle and she took off with me hanging on to the handle. I hadn't planned on going skiing that day on dry land. It finally all came out. I didn't know a ski rope could be so long and that anyone could ski on dry land. Sure glad no one was there to witness that one.
Highway, I have always pulled calves from the other end, but I wont pretend to tell you how to run your bidness Or is that the new model with the pull start?

Back when we had cows, I was on the far end of our place filling a feeder. A young bull walked over to my 4 wheeler and ate the key out of the ignition. One gulp and it was gone. It was a mile and a half walk back to camp wearing flip flops
Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it. Don't text and drive.

Some times I wish it was a fuse.

I've been witness to two. One ate a 2.5 gallon (empty) Rotella T jug. The other ate a bunch of roundbale twine. Both met miserable fates after they couldn't pass it in either direction.
