I would suspect injury. IMO he's 4.5

My understanding is roman nose comes with being broken/injured most likely from fighting. It may come with age, but isn't necessarily limited to old/mature deer.
We have seen young deer with the same trait.
In august (the date on photos) I would want to wait a while before I made a guess on how old he was. My initial guess would be 4+
