Recently I was given a spot on a road where deer cross frequently, I want to add a feeder but Since the timber company uses the road occasionally I can’t put a traditional style feeder up so I’m thinking a bucket feeder might have to suffice, I have never used one does anybody have any recommendations?

Theres all kinds of options nowadays where you attach a bag type feeder to a tree...and the deer just eat out the bottom. Isn't very coon proof, but might be something to look into. I believe cabelas sells them on their website

Another option you might look into is a directional feeder. With that one, you put it along one side of the road and allow it to throw across the road to corn the area you want to feed without blocking the road. Most seem to shoot the corn out a fairly good distance so you might get a line of corn across the road.

Yes, you could angle a directional feeder down the road, or toward the blind, and get about 20-30 yards worth of coverage with something like that. Would work real well in a road situation.
