We have a lot of Bobcats on our property and I have tons of game cam videos of them (mostly night time). I see bobcats 2 or 3 times a year while on stand....but usually it is just a single bobcat. This group appears to be a Mama with her still Juvenile offspring. The young are nearly as big as their Mother and I would imagine will go off on their own soon. They are not hunting in this instance and seemed not to be interested in my 'lip squeaking' near the end of the video. Just passing through. Nothing too exciting, but fun to watch them while sitting on stand.

Good video and I like your shooting lanes What do you have planted in them? Oats this time of year. A little latter I will over-seed with winter peas and hope they come up before the hogs find them.

great set up, love just to watch wild life Me as well. That video (sorry for the Iphone quality) was taken from my Daughter's stand. I know in the video they look farther away then they really are (as close as 10-12 yds. at one point). I 'watch' the wildlife much more than do any shooting (except for Hogs and Coyotes). It is very relaxing and enjoyable to just sit and observe. Most of the time I take my camera (didn't on this outing) and always have my binoculars with me. That stand is almost at the farthest corner of the property....so a little over a mile away from our home, highway, human activity. Pretty quiet back there. Good place to go to relax and reflect. Just take in 'Mother Nature' and recharge one's mental batteries.

Tread lightly around bobcats....Jes sayin.... Almost titled the thread 'Family of Mountain Lions'........but you know what that would have started.

That's an example of the cool experiences you'd probably never see without using hunting as an excuse to be in the woods.

That's an example of the cool experiences you'd probably never see without using hunting as an excuse to be in the woods. And if you REALLY want to hear/see the woods come alive, sit out there at night. I hunt Feral Hogs quite a bit at nighttime (sometimes all night) and the 'night sounds' you hear are like nothing you will experience in the daytime. The vast majority of folks don't/can't recognize the common sounds of animals such as gray fox calling one another or a pair of raccoons fighting and then when they DO hear it for the first time....attribute it to some Bigfoot/Banshee/Mountian Lion/Other. It's laughable. But with each generation we are losing more and more outdoorsman...so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

I enjoy watching them now instead of trapping or shooting them.
