It's the "and nothing else for me" part that I can't go along with. When I drink Woodford, it's with ice, (a scotch ball) and nothing else.
An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

Bulleit isn’t my favorite bourbon either, but a lot of people like it. Just never enjoyed it. Bulleit is a high rye bourbon which results in a spicier taste. Makers Mark is a high wheat and Woodward Reserve is in the middle. I know. I’m not really a rye guy in general.
I just turned it on . I was looking bird dogs in the butt this morning.

This and nothing else for me: Yuck. Whats the matter with you? I thought you had good taste? This is not something you slam by the gallon, but with a good fire, or a Monday Night Football Game on a rare night with the house to yourself, maybe a cigar (I hate cigars) but spend an hour so sipping over a ball of ice. The world becomes a much better place. I do. Lots of people recommended that bourbon, I bought it, hated it. Also hate Bulliet. There are much better for that price. I don’t slam them back, mix them, or ice them down. Woodford doesn't get more "straight" than this: but they won't let you. It's not a destination place, but if you're in the area it is definitely worth a stop. Great grounds, not a bad sandwich lunch and the tour is interesting. You get to see some really historic stuff and can appreciate what goes into making it. I been to most of them near there, Woodfore Reserve has the nicest grounds. This is the THF so it would be wrong to leave out the fact that the biggest white tails I have ever seen in my life are on family land a few miles up the road.

I quit drinking but Bookers is good stuff. Was my favorite. They had Booker’s marked at $95 tonight and were out of Knob 120. I went with Bakers. It’s one of their four small batches. Basil Hayden’s rounds it out. If you know where to shop Booker’s can be had in the $50s.

Hey Bill Put up that post about whiskey.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/If-by-whiskeyMy friends, I had not intended to discuss this controversial subject at this particular time. However, I want you to know that I do not shun controversy. On the contrary, I will take a stand on any issue at any time, regardless of how fraught with controversy it might be. You have asked me how I feel about whiskey. All right, here is how I feel about whiskey: If when you say whiskey you mean the devil's brew, the poison scourge, the bloody monster, that defiles innocence, dethrones reason, destroys the home, creates misery and poverty, yea, literally takes the bread from the mouths of little children; if you mean the evil drink that topples the Christian man and woman from the pinnacle of righteous, gracious living into the bottomless pit of degradation, and despair, and shame and helplessness, and hopelessness, then certainly I am against it. But, if when you say whiskey you mean the oil of conversation, the philosophic wine, the ale that is consumed when good fellows get together, that puts a song in their hearts and laughter on their lips, and the warm glow of contentment in their eyes; if you mean Christmas cheer; if you mean the stimulating drink that puts the spring in the old gentleman's step on a frosty, crispy morning; if you mean the drink which enables a man to magnify his joy, and his happiness, and to forget, if only for a little while, life's great tragedies, and heartaches, and sorrows; if you mean that drink, the sale of which pours into our treasuries untold millions of dollars, which are used to provide tender care for our little crippled children, our blind, our deaf, our dumb, our pitiful aged and infirm; to build highways and hospitals and schools, then certainly I am for it. This is my stand. I will not retreat from it. I will not compromise. I have not read 1% of your 56 thousand plus posts, but I am going to say this is your best post! That formula applied to most things is classic. Moderation in all things.

Fortunately someone brought some Lone Elm 114. If you like wheated whisky, which I do, you should give it a try. That’s if you can find it.
