It was a nice morning, we had some birds this morning but not a bunch. One of my fields had good birds Friday afternoon and a different field had good birds Saturday morning. But by this morning we'd shot them up pretty good. Hopefully this front restocks the fields for this weekend.

It was a nice morning, we had some birds this morning but not a bunch. One of my fields had good birds Friday afternoon and a different field had good birds Saturday morning. But by this morning we'd shot them up pretty good. Hopefully this front restocks the fields for this weekend. No "we" to shoot them up here. Just a dog and me in a big field of sunflowers. These birds are not acting like they have been hunted. Steve who is the one with me when we hunt your place is coming out this week, but I'll mostly be Deer hunting unless a lot more birds show up.

Looks like a great time. Hope the front brings in some new birds to my area as well. The mourning dove are all but gone and most the white-wings are a mile up.

I am really looking forward to snipe hunting this season. Now that I'm retired and have time to find them. BTW, the Dove here seem to have cleared out. I'm Deer hunting today, but hoping new birds arrive behind this front.

The migrators are here. I watched 100s of Dove go to roost around my field this evening. They were hitting my mojo and flickers in big waves. Deer hunting is put off another day. Dash is sure happy. This am and pm was real good dove hunting.
After hunting my field all September with almost daily limits, i left it alone for 2 weeks.
It paid off. I need rain to fill the gravel puddles.
