Really considering one for my Teryx. Won’t be hard to build at all. 6 bolts hold it on.

Older Kawasaki Mules had flat beds with the sides bolted on. I can go from this standard farm use mule: ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2019/10/full-30584-202753-mulescomparison2.jpg) To the Pit Mule and back in about 45 minutes. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2019/10/full-30584-202754-pitmule7.jpg)

I've seen several quail hunting rigs with dog boxes on flatbeds.
Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

I know a fella that used to build a few on the side for fun. I'll reach out to him and see if he's still doing any or not and if so, get some pricing. The one on his ranger was the cat's meow. Are you just wanting a basic flat bed, or have anything built in to it? ie, road feeder, pull out cutting board, headache rack with winch, etc.
Edit: Scratch that idea. He doesn't do them anymore.

I've got a customers Can Am in the shop right now who is wanting an aluminum one this spring. I would love to get one going over the winter if anyone would be interested in guinea pigging for me. The one for the Can Am is supposed to have headache rack, lights, fold down sides, and a road feeder tucked under the back. I'm trying to talk him in to some form of toolbox somewhere on it. I have plans to do one for my Ranger that I mainly work out of, it would be a lot more tool storage than hunting stuff but I will be adding a winch to the headache rack.

I'd be interested in how that Can Am bed turns out. Are you planning to make those fold down sides fully removable as well? I just hate rattles and can envision those thing rattling unless you get heavy with some rubber dampers somewhere.

Haven't decided just yet we still have some time, but I think that I can tuck a welded nut somewhere out of the way where you could pinch them shut up against each other to keep the rattling to a minimum.

That would probably work. I just remember on an old mule i had with some hinges on it. They weren't the bedside, but once the rubber bushings wore out, it would rattle your teeth. Post pics of that can am when you get it finished. I'd be interested in it, as i have a defender myself.
