Under the penal code no reasonable person could stick a murder charge. Manslaughter - all day long. I do think she's guilty of that personally - all because she was distracted/tired/whatever - a man was shot dead on his own couch.

I have to be in downtown Dallas the last two weeks of Oct.
Not looking forward to being there.

Hope I am right but doubt anything will happen if guilty or not-guilty from a riot standpoint. This was off duty and against an educated professional regardless of race with some weird issues that are factual that rioters have nothing in common with. JMO... We will see though. Might be some protesting but lack of connection... It's also Dallas. I worked side by side with the LA rioters for the RK stuff and that was a different animal. They were nuts. Crazy stories what they did.

Risk is low, but why risk it when I don't have to. Less worried about a riot, more worried about in your face protesters stopping me from getting home, it has happened before... And don't forget last protest downtown Dallas, 5 cops shot from a sniper, probably more risk of a crazy person shooting someone than a riot. There are lots of people out there that are just full time trouble makers..

And it has been proven every time there is something to riot about, those full time trouble makers are imported for the occasion to stir the pot.

Ya'll be careful.

Gotten interesting now, Ms. Guyger on stand giving her interpretation of how things went down that night. IMO, not the most compelling testimony or remorseful either. Don't think this is going to go well for the young lady...

How is she supposed to act or compel? What are you looking for?

People do people not all grieve and act the same.way with traumatic things. My wife thought for years I was heartless because I don't cry. I deal with things in different ways. Compartmentalize it and deal with it. Think when my mother passed and she knew how much it hurt and I did not change the way I acted she realized I'm just different.

He probably wants her to throw herself on the floor and cry.

Yes people are who they are, but the fact is that most juries want to see some regret/remorse from someone who killed another person. So if you killed someone accidentally and were charged, your inability to show remorse would be a huge liability. Even moreso if you were a female. Like it or not - that’s the way it is.

Watching now. I do feel bad for her. She won't fare well in prison.

And that is precisely what the defense is hoping the jury is thinking.

Her defense seems to be falling apart. Seems she wasn't 'double dog tired', she was coming home to change into workout clothes and go to the gym.

Well when I watched she kept her composure until she had to talk about going in and then she lost her chit. That had to recess.

I don’t know how you can say she wasnt remorseful from that display.

Even if she goes to prison she won’t be in general population

it did not help that she was sexting and talking about getting drunk and having sex with her cop buddy 2 days after the shooting.

I thought the exact same thing, her married cop, affair boyfriend.
