I went to the Buc-ee's in Terrell yesterday, to look at the deer feeders. They carried an American Hunter 350 lb feeder for $159.00, and an American Hunter 600 lb feeder for $299.00. Any one tried these?

I have the 600 lb for a year now and it’s still working. Metal is rust proof but kind of thin so it bulges out in some places when full of corn. I put some self threading screws along the seems and it helped. The lid does not fit well so I put 12” x 12” concrete tile to hold it down and seems to work well. Overall, it’s a decent feeder for $300

I have a AH 400# feeder and a 600# EZ-Feeder, both purchased at Buc-ees. This will be the third season since purchasing the AH feeder, it works well, but I have noticed the walls are pretty thin, and will bow when full. I also had a problem after moving it when I didn't get the legs exactly squared (this one is not a tripod, but instead has 4 legs). After moving, the lid would not fit back on because it had slightly twisted the box and the hinges and latch would not line up exactly. I adjusted the legs and it fixed the problem.

For the money, I think the stand and fill EZ-Feeder is a great bargain. I paid less than $400 for it last year and it has worked exactly as needed to date.

I have the 600# EZ feeder as well. It has worked flawlessly, though this is my first season using it. Hogs have not damaged it and it is varmint proof. No cage lets the corn fly away from the feeder rather than simply dumping it underneath it. When/if my Academy Game Winner feeder ever quits, I'll replace it with another EZ Feeder from Bucees. Only issue with the EZ Feeder is that it is low to the ground, so you have to make sure that whatever you're shooting at, is not in front of it.

We have the 600# one at the lease since last year. We have added spikes to lets to help with varmints. So far, it has worked flawlessly
