Looking to get an electric trap somewhere is the $20 +/- range. Anyone have one in that price range that works well?

The rats and field mice love my shop. No feed is left out (anymore) although they ate my danny kings stink bait.

With traditional traps, I have killed 35 or so. Walk The Plank has not worked.

I have a squirrel/rodent live trap. Dry dog food for bait. Dispatch with BB pistol. Very productive.

Don’t forget to unplug it when removing a carcass.

Get you some Liquid TomCat and a few chicken waters. Will wipe them out in no time but you have to keep the chicken waters full and leave one out after you have them down. I cover the chicken waterer with a cardboard box that has a small hole on each end so the mice/rats can hide in the box to drink.

We tried regular traps, with moderate success. We tried sticky traps till the wife sat on one in her favorite jeans (long story, and funny, but I did NOT laugh), then we went to the electric traps. Killed em dead. Worth the money.

Transformer? -- more like increased homeowner's liability insurance. grin I assume that thing is a joke. But after looking at it, the ground and neutral are attached to the grid. The black / hot wire is above. If a rodent was tall enough to make contact with the hot wire above.....ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

I'm not sure that isn't some kind of east TX joke. grin If that wire above had a ball of cotton soaked in peanut butter, best mouse bait ever, ZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Would rigging up something like this using an electric fence module be enough to kill rats?

Funny thing about getting older:
Your eyesight starts getting weaker but your ability to
see through people's BS gets much better.
