First I'll never have a Chevy, love Fords, so save those comments..please
2015 F250 rolled over 100k miles, thinking about reprogramming/chip, and DEF Delete... it has plenty of power for me,but could always use more power... mainly hoping to increase fuel efficiency.
Who has done this, what did you think? Any members actually do this kind of work?

2011 Ford 6.7 with full delete. Improved fuel economy and power. Glad I did it. Sound of the blow off valve (?) is obnoxious to me. It's also noticeably loader, of course, which I don't care for.
A guy in Wylie did it for me. He's a certified Ford mechanic that does it on the side. Hard to contact and lock down a time. Check with Powerflo in Mckinney. I trust them.

Well, you may be late to the party. The EPA attacked the suppliers of bypass products a few years ago.
The guy who did my 6.7 Superduty is the best you can find at it. I always recommended him, then one day, word got back to me that he wouldn’t do it for a buddy I sent to him. So I called him and he told me why. The EPA shut down his parts suppliers.
Assuming you have the 6.7 diesel, you need a custom formed (4” ?) pipe to replace your DPF/catalytic converter. That is the part that will kill your truck due to false fire alarms and cost you $600 every 75,000 or so for the dealer to replace the sensors in it. If you can find that pipe, you can get it done easy enough. You bypass the DPF with the pipe, unplug the EGR pump, and program around all the changes. You need a guy that knows how to program the truck for that part, and no body but him can touch your truck afterwards or they will reset programming to default and kill your truck.
Be sure to keep the DPF as it will need to go back on if you sell it...
Go ahead and replace your turbo piping now if you haven’t already. That will get you sooner or later. Easy to do...

I have ppei on my 14. Very happy with the fuel mileage and performance. It was also a fairly easy install.

To see a big mpg jump you got to get a pretty hot tune. I’d wait until DPF or DEF Heater/pump goes out. Then it’s trading dollars. Personally I’d go suspension upgrade

SCT x4 with tyrant tunes from onestop diesel stop. Get the EGR block off plates and 4" exhaust with the biggest flopro muffler. I had this setup for a couple years on my 14. I will be doing the same to my 16 when it hits 100k. I gained over 3 mph average on fuel economy and lost the turbo lag for the most part. I had the shift on the fly option but rarely used it unless I was towing. 1 was no tune other than delete, 2 was trailer tow, 3-5 were hotter. Truck stayed on 3 unless i was towing anything.

Do it quick, the EPA is fining shops left and right for deletes. They got Spartan for $4M, little shops are starting to get popped now and fined $20k or so. Mine is going in next week to get more tunes before it gets bad

reprogram is the only thing that is hard to detect on obd2, last time i spoke to the inspector, he showed me that a chip will show up and where it shows up and dps looks for it during an audit. yes epa and dps are cracking down on it and inspectors are looking for modifications, not saying you couldn't get by with it in a rural area, for a little while anyway. heck, there's a few states that are doing emissions testing on diesel now, texas isn't one...yet
