Can't open soon enough, Academy and Bass Pro need a little competition.

They are hiring Managers for all of the hunting & fishing related departments if anyone is looking.

Two great choices.

'Heard good things about them and I think my son-in-law gave me a shirt he bought from them in Salt Lake. 'Wish I had a reason to be up there (the Colony), I'd check it out.

They have a Ferris Wheel inside, yippeeee

I'm hoping Scheels will offer a bounty on all Cabelas credit cards.

Oh, they are out of RL-26 and H-4350 too

I think it will blow away BPS/Cablela and Academy

The building is giagantic, I would say at least 2 to 4 times larger than any Bass Pro Shop I have seen in our area

It was quite the opposite when BPS first opened in North Texas in Grapevine, they had outstanding deals for many years, and their Black Fridays deals were outstanding

It’s called eliminating competition by being so large that the wholesalers look the other way when you ignore MAP.

They are going to generate a lot of traffic one way or the other

RedRanger & BoBo the Clown,
cheers understand what ya saying.
scratch supply & demand... tis a thinking the product, (supply) tis already thar...
(demand) tis lower prices... What the costumers will B looking for.
yingyang one must figure in the cost of material, builders, from the designers, ta the one using the idiot stick.
& then wages of employee's, all have ta B figured inta the prices...
Fact: 2cents minimum wages go up for low-end workers, price of everything else goes up...
edit : many on here queston my claims of D- in me grammer. Tis also fact, got held back...

I think it will be a lot easier to get my wife to go to Scheels than Bass Pro, Cabela's or Academy. If she is not interested in Scheels, she can drop me off while she goes to Nebraska Furniture. My new date night.

I've been to the Salt Lake City and Reno stores. Definitely a fun destination but they are a full retail brick and mortar store. Huge inventory, top name brands. Don't expect steep discounts.

I don't expect them to be cheap, just having everything in one place would be nice. They do have to compete with Bass Pro, Cabela's and Academy, they will only have one store. I wonder how long they will all last in the same market.

Maybe I should stick with Buc-ee's LOL

I know the Scheels store in SLC is not too far from Cabela's. They both seem to be capitalizing from the growing SLC market.

They don’t spend a lot on advertising but will price match competitor ads and their customer service is top notch.
